1. In-situ inspection (commissioning)
This service involves an inspection on your spindle by one of our technicians before and/or after installation on the machine, to ensure that it is working correctly.
It includes the following checks (as per Robert Renaud SA standards):
- Spindle fastening check on the machine (torque tightening)
- General appearance check
- Connections check (pneumatic and electrical)
- Pressure and flowrate values check (clamping, unclamping and air barrier)
- Air/oil flowrate check in the case of air-oil lubrication
- Geometry check
- Temperature measurement
- Bearing vibrations and noise measurement
- Tool attachment system check
- Operating check on sensors, encoders and probes
- Motor check
- Converter parameters check
- Inspection protocol drawn up
No spindle will be disassembled in-situ.

We also offer a periodic inspection, or as required by the end customers, for preventive maintenance, i.e. to avoid the need for spindle overhauls (Switzerland only).

3. Periodic overhaul
The periodic overhaul (to be defined according to how your spindle is used) ensures that a scheduled overhaul can be carried out with minimal waiting time. In this case, we guarantee a stock of sensitive parts (to be defined according to the spindle type). The advantage of this type of contract is enabling us to overhaul your spindle during a scheduled shutdown of the machine (annual closure, scheduled maintenance of the machine). In this case, our guaranteed provision of important parts, such as shafts, sockets, bearings and other parts with long manufacturing or stock delivery times, means that you can be assured that your spindle will be overhauled within 5 working days.
4. Production insurance pack
We are well aware that a spindle is a vital component of our production machines. Any breakdown will impair our production, and we all know that this leads to extra costs, and more besides (reorganisation of production, staff stress, poor image with the customer, etc.).
This package is available when purchasing a new spindle (or on request), and is like a life insurance policy for your production. Based on a 24-month contract (valued as the spindle price divided by 24), a ready-to-use spindle, fitted and inspected, is stored at our premises so that in the event of machine breakdown or during one of our periodic inspections (if overhaul required), we can replace your spindle with minimal waiting time (24 hours, or depending on the carrier).
5. Second-hand parts
Our After-Sales service has a stock of overhauled, ready-to-use second-hand spindles (as per list), which come with a 6-month warranty.
6. Express service
The express overhaul is a service provided within a two-week time frame, which incurs an additional 30% on the price of a standard overhaul.
